Edible Asheville is an award-winning food and lifestyle magazine that celebrates the chefs, farmers, bakers and brewers in Western North Carolina. We are seeking a smart and outgoing person to serve as a part-time Ad Account Manager and work with advertising clients in Asheville and the surrounding area.
The Account Manager will recruit new advertising clients and help them create effective marketing campaigns in Edible Asheville’s print magazine, website and social media platforms. The Account Manager will also build and strengthen those valuable relationships by attending events and staying in touch with their clients via phone, email and meetings.
The job requires a minimum of 6-8 hours of work per week. The hours are flexible and successful candidates can be based anywhere in Western North Carolina. We will consider candidates outside of the area, but regional residency is preferred.
The Account Manager should be comfortable making cold calls and following up with leads and inquiries, and should have a thorough understanding of the dynamics of sales. He/she will look for new and innovative ways to promote their advertising clients, and is most successful when generating marketing ideas that involve our print and digital platforms.
A background in sales is required — and experience in print ad sales is preferred.

We offer a minimum monthly stipend of $400 per month, as well as a 20% commission on all ad accounts. We also offer quarterly bonuses.
