Asheville’s first big plant sale of the season! Growing in the Mountains is sponsored by the Blue Ridge Horticulture Association of local, family-owned nurseries in the Southern Appalachian and Piedmont bioregions.

  • Heaven’s Gate Orchard – Veteran owned and operated orchard located in Haywood County, NC. committed to the preservation of Smokey Mountain heritage and traditional recipes, including our Caramel Apple Fruit Spread, Spied Apple Fruit Spread, and Nana’s Apple Butter!
  • Treehouse + Co – Small batch Nut based rubs and other dry rubs
  • Better Thymes – All organic, gluten-free and vegan products. Our current lineup includes plant-based trail bars, gluten-free granola and multipurpose hot sauces

  • Ole’ Ken Cole Ice Cream Truck – Homemade Ice Cream
  • Woof Street Bistro- gourmet sliders and hot dogs

Local Cloth – Fiber Farmer Day – Truck Shed 5

Local farmers that raise a variety of breeds of sheep, llamas, alpacas, angora goats and angora rabbits. They sell raw fiber, processed fiber for hand spinning and yarns. Many also make a variety of knitted, crocheted, woven and felted items. We also have some farmers that grow and sell dye plants. Both Warren Wilson College and Haywood Community College have fiber arts programs and will join us for demonstrations.

  • Ole’ Ken Cole Ice Cream Truck – Homemade Ice Cream
  • Dirty Gerties Taco Stand – pork and vegan tacos
  • Hit The Pit BBQ – Award winning BBQ made with local ingredients. We sell sandwiches, plates w/ sides and nachos. BBQ pulled pork, Beef Brisket, chopped chicken, BBQ nachos.
  • The Smokin’ Onion – on a mission to bring tasty food to the people with scratch-made, and intentionally meat-free crave worthy cuisine.
